This year Thematic CERN School of Computing (tCSC) will focus on the theme of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence applied to Data Analysis and Accelerator Technology. The programme will offer 22 hours of lectures and hands-on exercises, complemented by student presentation sessions. After a first introduction to Machine Learning methods, the lectures and exercises will focus on Machine Learning in accelerator technologies and in data analysis. During the exercises, students will work on their laptop, and connect to exercise infrastructure on a provided local virtual machine.
The school concludes with a final examination covering all lectures. Participants who pass the exam will be granted an official CSC Diploma.
The school will take place in Split, Croatia, and be hosted at the Mediterranean Institute For Life Sciences (MEDILS) Conference Centre. The Centre is a historical renovated building situated in a wooded and landscaped park located on the Adriatic Sea coast, a few kilometres from the centre of Split.
