Enrico LUPI
NGT Technical Student
Hi everyone, I’m Enrico!
I am a Master’s student in Physics at the University of Padova, Italy, and an incoming PhD student at ETH Zurich. I have been passionate about physics since childhood, but I discovered the world of computers only after starting university. I was immediately drawn to it and became fascinated by the infinite possibilities that advanced computing offers to modern science.
My work sits at the intersection of particle physics, machine learning, and computer engineering. Within the NGT 1.2 group, I contribute to the development of hls4ml and AIE4ml, open-source libraries that translate high-level ML models into efficient hardware implementations on FPGAs and AMD AI Engines, respectively, and enable online ultra-low-latency inference for trigger systems and edge applications.
More generally, I am interested in efficient AI acceleration, real-time data processing, and the co-design of algorithms and hardware for scientific discovery.
Feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat about physics, emerging technologies, theatre, or cats!
