CHEP 2026: Call for Abstracts and Registration Now Open

The next Conference on Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP) will take place at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, from 25 to 29 May 2026.

CHEP is a long-standing forum for discussing the computing, networking, and software challenges of large-scale, data-intensive scientific experiments in high-energy and nuclear physics. The conference brings together experts working on the world’s leading scientific infrastructures — from the LHC experiments to distributed computing facilities around the globe — to share experiences, developments, and future directions.

In 2026, CHEP will coincide with the final weeks of LHC Run 3 and will look ahead to the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) era. Topics will span both infrastructure and software, with dedicated sessions on sustainable computing, including green data centres, energy efficiency, and the role of AI/ML in operations.

Although traditionally rooted in high-energy and nuclear physics, CHEP also welcomes interdisciplinary contributions from fields such as astronomy, biology, medicine, and quantum computing, as well as from high-performance computing (HPC) centres working on large-scale data processing, simulation, and infrastructure design.

The programme will feature plenary talks, parallel sessions, and poster presentations, covering nine thematic tracks:

  3. Offline Data Processing
  4. Distributed Computing
  5. Event Generation and Simulation
  6. Software Environment and Maintainability
  7. Computing Infrastructure and Sustainability
  8. Analysis Infrastructure, Outreach, and Education
  9. Analysis Software and Workflows

The organizers are committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment and strongly encourage participation from students, early-career researchers, and underrepresented groups.
