Simone ROSSI TISBENI

Doctoral Student

PhD student in Data Science and Computation at the University of Bologna, focusing on computing challenges in CMS. In NGT I research advanced data compression for the experiment. Previously, I was a research fellow at the INFN-CNAF computing centre, where I worked on the IoTwins Horizon 2020 project, developing Digital Twins for small and medium enterprises. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from the University of Bologna.

I tutor courses in C++ Programming for Physics and Applied Machine Learning at the university. I’m interested in computing challenges, particularly in heterogeneous computing and optimization algorithms, where complex problems call for thoughtful and efficient solutions.
