Sanjiban SENGUPTA

Doctoral Student

I am a Doctoral Student at CERN, affiliated with the University of Manchester, researching optimization methods for efficient machine learning inference using heterogeneous architectures.

My association with CERN began in 2021 through Google Summer of Code, where I contributed to the ROOT project by developing storage functionalities for TMVA/SOFIE- a tool for fast ML inference being developed at CERN. In 2022, I returned to CERN as a Summer Student, working on extending SOFIE to support inference for Graph Neural Networks.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from IIIT Bhubaneswar, India, in 2022. Following that, I worked at several organizations in the industry, focusing primarily on machine learning and data engineering.
