INFN Efficient Scientific Computing School, Bertinoro, 14-24 October 2024

The Efficient Scientific Computing School is an international school organized by the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) from October 14th to October 24th 2024 at Ce.U.B. in Bertinoro, Italy. The theme of this year’s school, organised in partnership with the Next Generation Triggers project, is “Architectures, tools and methodologies for the development of large-scale scientific computing applications”.

The school programme is structured along two main tracks: an introduction to the basic concepts and tools for developing efficient applications, and an in-depth discussion regarding the most used programming methodologies and tools in parallel computing. Through lectures and exercises, the students will address the increasing complexity of the computing architectures and will explore solutions designed to make future systems sustainable and efficient.

Some special presentations complement the academic programme. On the last day of school, students will have the opportunity to test their knowledge by taking a written exam. A certificate of attendance will be given to all participants, together with the results of the test, if requested.
