With its 45 years of history, the CERN School of Computing (CSC) has trained thousands of scientists and engineers from all over the world. This year, the school will be hosted at the DESY campus, in Hamburg. The students will follow a rich programme of lectures and hands-on exercises around three distinct tracks : Physics Computing, Software Engineering, and Data Technologies. In addition, guest lectures, student presentations and special evening talks will be organised.
The 50 hours of lectures and hands-on exercises covering the two weeks of the school, will be followed by the final optional exam. Students who pass the exam will receive a diploma from the CSC, as well as ECTS credits.
In addition to the academic programme, the organizers have designed a rich social and sport programme to give students many opportunities to explore and experience some of the great cultural, historical and natural attractions of Hamburg and its surroundings.
