Anna POLOVA

Software Developer

I am a Computer Science graduate from Ukrainian Catholic University and currently based at CERN, working within the NGT group on enabling efficient communication between machines in the CMS software framework. My work focuses on high-performance computing, GPU data transfers, high-speed interconnects, and optimizing Message Passing Interface (MPI) in CMSSW to support flexible event processing.

Previously, I also worked with robotics and machine learning. As a robotics developer, I contributed to software-hardware integration using ROS2, robotic simulation, and automated testing for robotic systems. In my university I had a lot of coursework related to AI and conducted research in machine learning.

My main programming languages are C++ and Python, and I am particularly interested in high-performance computing, distributed systems, heterogeneous computing, and the intersection of software and hardware optimization.

Fields of interest:

  • High-Performance Computing
  • Distributed Systems
  • Parallel Programming
  • Real-Time Data Processing
  • Robotics and Autonomous Systems
