NGT WP 2.6 co-leader
I am a senior physicist, and currently section leader of EP-ATL-OSW, the CERN ATLAS section for offline software. Offline? Well, we also want to be so efficient and fast, that you can use it for the trigger. Originally from Austria (who would have thought with that name), I came to CERN first time 25 years ago – and have then worked mostly on simulation and reconstruction software, but also other projects. I am enthusiastic about community software and the community itself, which is why I co-coordinated the Tracking Machine Learning Challenge and – now 10 years ago already – the ACTS (A Common Trackinng Software) project. I like to teach and sometime to learn from machines as well.
