Anastasiia PETROVYCH
Technical Student
Hi!
I’m a final-year Bachelor’s student in IT and Business Analytics at the Ukrainian Catholic University. Right now, I’m working at CERN as a Technical Student on the Next Generation Triggers project (Task 1.3), where I’m building a fine-tuning framework that brings together pruning, quantization, and hyperparameter optimization to improve model performance and reduce both training and inference costs.
Earlier, I was part of the LHCb experiment as an Openlab student at CERN. There, I developed an automated anomaly detection pipeline using Kubeflow and unsupervised learning to monitor server performance — helping to avoid downtime and data loss.
I’ve also conducted research at the Biomedical Computer Vision Lab at the University of Tartu, in collaboration with BetterMedicine, where I designed the pipeline for synthetic CT data generation using diffusion models to enhance cancer tumor segmentation.
Outside of academics, I have different hobbies, such as volleyball, running, bouldering, and hiking.
