Verena MARTINEZ OUTSCHOORN
NGT Work Package Co-Coordinator – 2.2 Enhancing the L0Muon
Verena Martinez Outschoorn’s research focuses on muon triggers and on new physics that will help elucidate the mechanisms behind the observed light Higgs boson mass and the nature of dark matter. She received her bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics in 2005 and her Ph.D. in physics in 2011 from Harvard University working on the ATLAS experiment. She was a Lederman Postdoctoral Fellow at Fermi National Lab from 2011 to 2014 working on the CMS experiment. She is currently a Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst on the ATLAS experiment.
